BIOGRAPHY

Anthony Parsons is a singer/songwriter. He was born on 3rd November 1989 in Bolsover, Derbyshire.

He started to sing at a young age and also played keyboard and guitar but he never really took it all seriously until the age of 18.

It wasn't until 2010 that Anthony began his career by filming his cover versions of popular songs and posting them on Youtube. The first video he uploaded was a cover version of K'naan's “Wavin' Flag” which has so far been viewed over 23,000 times.

More videos followed; his cover of Collin Raye's “Love Me” has received almost 100,000 views so far and he quickly gained a reputation for making the songs his own.

He was spotted by US talent scouts who asked Anthony to fly to the States to meet them. Whilst there he performed with the band Torque across various venues, including a gig with AC/DC in the audience.

Upon his return home, Anthony’s live shows have gone from strength-to-strength as he performs to thousands of people every year across the UK.

Since he started in 2010, Anthony has uploaded a wide variety of covers to Youtube and has gained almost 300,000 views along the way.

He has, however, now entered a new phase in his career; on 18th December 2018, Anthony released his debut original single, “I'll Be”, with his follow-up single, “Fall For You”, released on 12th February 2019.

'Never Enough' and 'Gone, Gone, Gone' followed but it was 'Summer Rain' that has so far proven to be his most successful. It featured on BBC Introducing East Midlands and has been played on radio stations world wide.

On 1st May 2020, Anthony released a charity single called 'Rise Above It All'. All proceeds from this song will be donated to the 'NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal' and the 'Care Workers Charity'.

The song has received widespread support and was named as 'Track of The Week' on BBC Radio Derby.

Anthony released his 8th Single, 'The World Outside My Window', on 12th July 2020. This is an upbeat, pop/rock song written by Anthony and has been very popular with audiences of all ages.

On 9th September 2020, Anthony was presented with the 'Hero of Bolsover Award' by Bolsover MP Mark Fletcher. This was in recognition of Anthony's charity single, 'Rise Above It All'.
